I did the sound design for the intro video that plays on your first visit:
www.blueman.com
How's it translating to the rest of the world? I'm actually having some hiccups over here at the studio but it seems to be playing fine at my apartment. I'd love any feedback on the website performance or the sound design itself. _________________ http://www.sonicbids.com/ASlowDeathandLoneliness

I'm not trying to be a jerk but in all honesty I lost patience waiting for the whole thing to load.
In the first minute, while the page was loading (nothing on the page) the top of the screen said "Blue Map Group", then at one point it changed to "Blue Man Group", after about 2 minutes I finally had the interface and the video. Then the video kept glitching like it would appear based on the bar that it was fully loaded then it'd shoot back to 20% complete or something. I'm a big fan of "efficient" websites, not necessarily meaning plain text, but if you are going to be flashy then it should still load reasonably fast...I have a decent internet connection...2mbps down cable....viewing on Mac OS 10.6.8 with Safari. |

You're not being a jerk at all, I feel the same way. I was hoping it was an anomaly and that the website would load elsewhere. Oh well. _________________ http://www.sonicbids.com/ASlowDeathandLoneliness

Loaded quickly for me. Like, licketty(sp?) split. But it was jerky and stuttery when it was playing. The page title went from "map" to "man" also. The sound, when it's there is big and in your face. Very "THX" sounding, if you know what I mean? At least on my computer speakers with the sub. (I've got old Gateway 2000 with Dolby Surround "Pro-logic" made by Altec Lansing.) _________________ Carl Keil |

Moderately fast load. "Blue Map Group" changes to "Blue Man." Video and audio played, but jerky (these seem to be consistent elements that need to be addressed by the webmaster/design folks).
From what I could hear in (jerky/glitchy) context, the sound design is cool.

Thanks all for listening. Hopefully one day it'll all work and you can give me real feedback on the content. I'll keep you posted. _________________ http://www.sonicbids.com/ASlowDeathandLoneliness
