pretty good. Super kitschy, but good.
I guess we picked the right time to go through; this week would've been tough, huh? _________________ greetings from Flyover Country... |

Aiight, so I'm drunk-Ebogging the other night and I see a "buy it now" for US$500 shipped onna allegedly new-condition UA 710 and so I bought it.
Do ya's see a pattern here?
I get drunk, I go on the Bog, and I find some ridiculously good price on something I don't "need" but can't resist.
I was, BTW, looking for a 610, (altho' what I really wanted was a LA610 Mk II but can't afford) but I'm thinkin' the 710 into the Gyraf 1176 ...

I went 2 weeks without any packages showing up, maybe it was the American Pie Shine |

Yeah they look cool but I've thought the price exceeded implementation...especially when they raised the price by $100. |

Agree...the price is stomach churning...but I've wanted one since seeing the prototype online. I've had it a week and love it. Here's a track:

AT C-87 (US$20 shipped), and a UA710 (US$500 shipped).
I am really looking forward to this weekend's recording, and really done buying pre's and comps, if not mic's. _________________ vlayman; THD; blog; TFP |

MrClean, I am very jealous of your OP-1!
Just picked-up a pristine Sony Walkman Professional recorder for $15 at an estate sale. Still has battery charge! I've got lots of tape stock left. It has line and mike input with plug-in power, headphone out and line out, as well as meters, adjustable input volume, all types of tape configuration, Dolby A, B, and C, battery or wallwart power, a leather carrying case, etc., etc., etc.
This will make a nice, portable back-up for my Zoom H1 for field recording. Looking forward to taking it to some gigs.

So acquired as in, I built this bitch! It was supposed to look super cool and stained but I apparently suck at staining furniture so even though its pine and oak its painted crappy black. Anyway, much thanks to MoreSpaceEcho for the help. I took his deskless rack design and made a desk instead. I love the deskless look, but I just couldn't do totally without a surface to work, eat and occasionally fall asleep on. It was super simple to build honestly.
