I'm relatively new to recording and i'm not really familiar with a lot of effects besides double tracking and reverb. So i'm at a total loss here. What vocal effect is Robert Schneider using on the song Love You Alice/D? Here's a youtube link of the song in question:

It's baffling me. It sounds really cool though. |

Sounds like backward reverb and delay.

When I was a kid we called that one "preverb." You flip the tape around to run backwards, print reverb on the track you want preverbed, then flip the tape back around, and walla, reverb that comes before the sound and builds up to it. Even easier on a computer, if you're into that sort of thing. _________________ Carl Keil |
