Just curious is anyone has pressed vinyl through Morphius http://www.morphius.com/manufacturing/ and if so what your experiences were.
We are looking at a short run (250-300) and they have some great pricing.
-also-
Some pressing plants don't offer printed jackets. Where are you guys getting your jackets printed? _________________ Brad Smalling

I just had a band ask where they should get their vinyl pressed, any current winners? _________________ "Play ethnicky jazz to parade your snazz. On your five grand stereo." |

United Record Pressing is a popular option. I've had good results with a couple 7"s I did there
Musicol is a smaller operation, fair prices, I have a friend who is always happy with their work.
Bill Smith Custom Records is also good. last time I checked it was significantly more expensive than the other guys, but I have another friend who swears by their quality.
Pirates Press is another popular option that's worth checking out.
for sleeves, Imprint Indie Printing is good. I've also used Hamlett Printing Services with good results, but he only does 7" paper sleeves. |

We haven't pulled the trigger yet a run of vinyl but, so far, Morphius has the lowest prices that I've found.
Couple o' things to keep in mind if you are considering a short run, Erika and Rainbo will do less than 500 but they have a minimum order of 500 jackets. So you could order 300 pieces of vinyl but you'll have an extra 200 jackets kickin' around
I just got a newsletter from Rainbo and they now offer random colors for no extra charge except for a small $30 setup fee.
In getting quotes, Pirates Press and Morphius were the most responsive and seemed to have great customer service.
Hopefully that little bit of info is helpful. _________________ Brad Smalling

I'm pretty sure Morphius includes lacquers and metal work it's worded poorly on their site. Request an instant quote and it'll be on there.
Regardless, we aren't doing 7" we are doing 12" nor are we doing our lacquers with any of the pressing plants. We're looking to use Salt Mastering for those. _________________ Brad Smalling
