This drawing has been used in a number of studios that I've installed.

* Note there is a ground connection between the "ISO" and "company". This wire is much longer than the grounding path for the rest of the "building" AC outlets, so any "noise" generated by the rest of the building will "drain-out" to your "electrical company" ground, because of the lower (ohm) resistance path.

Second important connection, the neutral for your audio plugs is bonded at the electrical panel to your "wonderfully" clean ground. The actual AC distro panel housing is grounded to the "company" ground, HOWEVER NO CONNECTION is made between "company" and "iso" ground at this point. This is really important!

Lastly if you want to do the full "hospital" grade (orange plug) method, you can email me and I'll show you the setup for this.

The drawing looks good. The only question I have is about the transformer itself. The drawing shows the neutral bonded to the isolated ground bus in the panel on the load side of the transformer. Whenever I install transformers, I thought the XO connection must be bonded in the transformer itself. Sitting here without my code book, I couldn't prove it's a requirement, just the way it was shown to me.

I don't know if it would be a problem as I've never installed the kind of transformer you've shown. But I have seen improperly bonded (or double grounded) transformers have some wonky voltage readings.

OK. This arrangement makes perfect sense. Thank you for sharing!
