I haven't heard the MA200, but I have a MA-201Fet and I really like it on the front of the kick - actually I put it about 2.5 feet in front, about 8 inches off the ground. catches a lot of slap and air from the kick and bit of the whole kit. A lot of times I use that (with some EQ) with a compressed, mono room mic.

Me too. I actually prefer a mono OH and stereo room to mono room stereo OH. |
