this link is for a ptx file. if anyone out there can convert it to a ptf file and email it to l.vis [at] sbcglobal.net you would get a fairy dusting of good karma. did not know 10 was not backwards compatible and just learned the hard way! i'm in version 9. |

If I'm understanding your problem correctly---that you had a PT10 session that wouldn't open in PT9---then in the future you can "Save A Copy As" in PT10, and choose the older file format. I also found out about this the hard way a couple months ago---cut vox on PT10 at a local studio, opened it up to do my edits at home, and it was a no-go. _________________ Alex C. McKenzie

| correct! i guess the way 10 handles fades and other such session data, the session backwards compatability is lost. however, if you get stuck like i did, you can just shoot the session file out to anyone who has 10 and they can quickly resave a conversion for you, without the audio data, and shoot it right back. saved my day. |
