They may be a dime a dozen in your neck of the woods, but a really great condition
first pressing of Zeppelin 1 has been on my want list a long time.
Thick vinyl, smooth edges.
Thank you BooBoo Records in San Luis Obispo.

Edit: I am told this is actually the second pressing.. the first was a brief run with a purple and brown labels (that sells for hundreds of dollars). Mine was pressed around 1969 - 1970 anyway. Close enough! Very Happy

Edit:
Wiki-"During the first few weeks of release in the UK, the sleeve featured the band's name and the Atlantic logo in turquoise. When this was switched to the now-common orange print later in the year, the turquoise-printed sleeve became a collector's item.[9]"

Rollerball (1975 James Caan original version) soundtrack for epic creepy classical,
Bladerunner orchestral versions as Vangelis wouldn't let them use his versions (til 25 years later).
Synths on this by Ian Underwood of Zappa fame.
Early Cars and early Tangerine Dream with mellotrons in great shape.

The rest:David Grisman, Steely Dan and a couple still sealed Sting albums.

The only thing that I really know by Roy Harper is Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar." I'll have to check that one out; I slept on him for the last several decades...

Well, hats off to Roy Harper.

Okay, I have to stop going to garage sales. Especially ones with 2000 plus records in bins filling up the driveway. Sheesh. Back from vacation and this one was on a Friday. Got these and 30 more for $40. This officially fills my shelving to capacity. Time to absolutely emphasise quality over quantity.

(or get bigger shelving..)

The movie is ok, but the soundtrack is great.

Hey, thanks for the tip, shred... Also, I've seen quite a bit of quality (also quantity, of course) in the LP's you've posted so far!

There's a series of compilations of Ethiopian music called "Ethiopiques". Really phenomenal stuff. Getachew Mekurya, particularly, is a monster saxophonist.

Thanks, yeah, I was thinking the larger shelving option was the better idea too. Laughing

Interesting, I knew an African that was _not_ from Ethiopia with the name Mukuria. I didn't think it was a common name, but maybe so?

Currently been listening to The Blasters Live from the House of Blues in 2002 on High-Tone (CD). Also picked-up a vinyl copy of Roger Glovers "Masks" today; something that I haven't heard since the 80's. I hope it's as interesting as I thought it was back then...

Miles Davis, Complete Birth of the Cool : terrific sound (relatively), a fave recording/style/group/performance.

Echo and the Bunnymen, remasters of the first three records - wonderfully done, excellent packaging, extra tunes and notes, fairly priced from one of my fave 80's bands.

Leonard Cohen, Old Ideas: I'ma fan, and this is very funny if un-ambitious and laid-back.

Steve Wynn, Northern Aggresion: raw and rocking.

That Bennie Wallace album is quite good, if I remember correctly. I'd love to hear the Basie/Billy Eckstine and the Art Tatum thing. And The Nice with Keith Emerson? A veritable Gold Mine [tm] (nudge-wink) you have their, young man. Awesome!
