So, I just picked one of these up used super cheap on GS and put it through some paces. Wow, its a really nice piece. I am impressed. I kind of got it for bass but while I don't really like it on bass so far, it kills on vocals. It actually sounds nicer and thicker on vocals than the Comp54 I was gushing about a few weeks ago in some quick comparisons. Both are nice but the PBC is much more forward sounding and a little more aggressive. _________________ [Asked whether his shades are prescription or just to look cool]

cool! I've been wondering about these for a while but haven't had the chance to use one. have you tried the uber-squash stuff, parallel drum buss or anything?
also curious how it compares to their RNLA, which I love deeply. _________________ get up with it

I just got an RNLA also and it is really really great. I had an RNC for about a minute which I really did not like at all, but the RNLA I really like. I will maybe run some comparisons between the two and post some clips if I have time. _________________ [Asked whether his shades are prescription or just to look cool]

fantastic compressors for the dough!!!
I have a RNC and RNLA and yea, the RNLA has a bit of character in the cell, whereas the RNC is super vanilla, but that's what I like about it.
The PBC has a lot more variance, and character, for sure. Mess around with the internal Side Chain Filter and you will start finding awesome sounds on everything.
The PBC has a very mellowed vibe and can really shape transients, making them round, soft and sweet. _________________ Adam Brass
