Latest gear you've acquired.....
Sony computer speakers - $29 bucks of crappy sounding sweetness. These really do sound nice and make a nice replacement for my old Avantones.
FMR Audio PBC-6A compressor. I got a great deal on this used so it was an implulse buy. Damn, sounds great.
Overstayer FET stereo compressor. Another great deal used from Gearslutz. Has the variable release mod from Overstayer and should be here in about a week. Can't wait to fire it up.

[Asked whether his shades are prescription or just to look cool]

Not the most recent purchase, but one I have been appreciating a lot lately: a fairly beat-up looking Shure Beta 52 with the logo missing, purchased in a pawn shop for a nice price. I have really been enjoying this on both kick drum and bass amp. Does a really nice job on a 59 P Bass reissue with flatwounds plugged into a tiny Eden Nemesis practice amp.
I didn't really care for my sparkly fresh D112. I like this better. That is all.

A Digitech 'Bass Synth Wah' pedal followed me home from ebay. 7 different ways to make my bass sound like... something.

the most unsexy but super useful thing i purchased recently:
a boss line selector. using it as mini mixer / bypass for two sources on my pedal board from a homemade instrument, functionally it replaces a chain of three pedals (trying to downsize), found that and a dd-6 digital delay used and super cheap on a gear buying quest the other day around town. party time.

the tape is rolling, the ones and zeros are... um... ones and zeroing.

Classic Audio Products of Illinois VP26 w/Red Dot 2520 op-amp. I am seriously like a kid waiting for Christmas to come right now.
I also picked up a second vintage Alamo lap steel since I'm playing mine a bunch and need a backup. Identical to the one that I already own (that was previously owned by Ben Keith!).

After months of deliberation and penny-pinching, I opted for a MOTU 828mk3 Hybrid as my new interface. Been too busy to really put it fully through it's paces since I got it, but for what I have done with it so far, it seems a great piece of kit.
I'll be using it into Logic Pro on my new Macbook Pro.
It's kind of intimidating finally having a fully-functional recording rig at my disposal again after a number of years without one... pressures on to get back into making music on a regular basis.
