Hey! OK, I just last night spent a few minutes tweaking the drums as recorded. All I have to say is they sound S P L E N D I D . They sounded good pre-tweak. Great now.
Thanks again, everyone. |

So here I am, six years later, about to mic the same set... same basic system... and as good as the advice sounded then (and as much of a n00b as I was then), it sounds better now. So once again, a big THANK YOU to the Tape-Op powers that be... and to all of you guys for your awesome advices. _________________ "Avoid trends and clichés/don't try to be up to date/and when the sunlight hits the olive oil, don't hesitate"

| On some forums i see people complain about folks reviving an old thread, but for my own part it was a very interesting read that i wouldn't have stumbled across otherwise. Cool stuff all around, and i'm glad you got good sounds! |

Alla that and Fletcher taught me how to laugh again.
Or is that, "laugh, again" ...
(And spell "kik".)

Wait a minute. I got all jazzed up about seeing pictures of the kit. Even better would be an audio link with a photo we could gaze at while listening. Any chance? _________________ I make a living as an electrician, not recording in the basement. |

Jeez... I was notoriously horrible about posting pics here back when I could remember how to do it.
Tell you what--I'm in the middle of a marathon writing/recording/mixing session. I'll post pics 'n' stuff to my blog when it's done... hopefully over the weekend. I'll post a link to the blog, too, just to make it easier.

Hey, the thread is old, the kit is old. We've waited this long. I can't see a little longer will do any harm. _________________ I make a living as an electrician, not recording in the basement. |
