I'm halfway through building two 3'x5'x4.5" panels for my basement space. Using Ultratouch for mine so I definitely need the rigid sides...

These absorbers/diffusors are some of the best bang-for-your-buck things you can do for your studio. You will never regret having them, so enjoy!

The trap's performance and the sound of your room are always the most important things, but a room's vibe runs a very close second. And that's a room with vibe!
My tiny mind has been opened to some broadband absorption possibilities that don't look like they came out of a Staples cubicle brochure. Even if they may possibly burn like heretics. No clients, just me, so no worries!

Yes! Certainly helpful. With a 4" thick 24" x 48" absorber, open sides will add up to 50% more absorptive surface area. This is why our panels are open on the sides as well.
