Thanks guys for the awesome well-wishes. When they're both finished, I should be able to come out of retirement and do some pain-free stick drumming. At that point, my excuse for no chops goes out the window, unfortunately...

Here are a few things I did for a horror movie, but didn't end up letting the guy use them b/c he was squirrelly when it came to talking $. They're both microtonal; the second one is in 9 equal divisions of the octave. I don't remember what the first or third were in. The third is mostly just a drone plus some sounds, as a background thing:

Here is a song I did with this old weird organ, heavily manipulated vocals, and prepared guitar. I read some sex ritual passage from the Satanic Bible by Anton Levay. All recorded on the infamous Tascam Portastudio MKIII 4 track.

Here is a remix I did of it in Pro Tools many years later. I think it's scarier than the original.

Listen to them in the dark with your eyes closed, think about Satan and spook yourself.

Loving the eclectic mix of Halloween tracks being posted here!

I recently made a cover of John Carpenter's Halloween theme. It's got some high energy stuff in it, but I definitely tried to work in some spooky elements too.

Man - all these creepy songs and tape op talent. There should be a compilation next year. All very cool.

Here's an EP of spooky songs that my hip-hop band The Buttery Lords put out last Halloween. I did the production and mixing, and it was mastered by TOMB's own MoreSpaceEcho (aka Scott Craggs at Old Colony Mastering)!

Buttery Lords - Monsters & Madness

There's also a funny short promo video I cut together using footage from "The Beast Must Die", for the song "Werewolf in a Waterpark".

cheers,
Leigh
