musical preferences of chimps
Chimps like African and Indian music. They don't like Western or Japanese music. Not sure what it means, but it's interesting.

Ha!
Just recorded, with my now ex-band Bustouts, a song I wrote (album's coming soon as I'm done mixing it).
One lyric is, "Sowhaddya say, do ya want my pony ride?", and they made me explain that.
The cops were kinda stunned, amazed, intrigued and grossed out, in about that order; I think the CPA just kinda dug it.
(Here's the original version by The Hungry Drunx.)

that's clever but I really meant "Pono"! Got any pictures of Neil Young with chimps? as opposed to this picture of Neil imitating a chimp...

I was watching these macaques at the zoo once. It was wild how much their behavior was just like my own family's:
The kid was running around the cage incessantly at top speed, full-out breakneck 360's (obviously full of unreleased juvenile energy), and as he circled past, he sometimes ran over or jumped on the father... Who was quietly biding his time, staring straight into space, but you could see that the tension was building and that he wasn't going to maintain his composure and blissful exterior forever (kind of like the nagged dad driving the car in that Police song). The mama macaque was trying in vain to calm the little out-of-control tike down before the dad blew his stake, but alas, he couldn't take anymore and let out an ape-y roar and screech that signified "ENOUGH!!!!" in any language. The mother stepped behind the father quickly and quietly, and the kid immediately scrambled into his corner and remained motionless, making nary a peep.
I'm not sure if he was listening to Megadeth before I got there...
