Key Commands, can't get some to work

Post by cstocker77 » Thu Jul 24, 2014 2:10 pm

I am doing some cues for a short film, and I want to be able to click away the video screen, but use a key command to bring it back, so I'm not constantly having to go into "Windows" and then click "Video".

Its starting to really disrupt my work flow.

Just some setting hopefully?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Which software are you using?
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

If you're i pro tools I think it's command 9 but you need a keyboard with the separate numbers section on the right.

Oh, thats what the number in the key shape means. So, if I do not have a separate number key pad, i am out of luck? Bummer.

Still with this video stuff, I'm not having any luck bouncing it to a form that the director of the film can open! I use file>bounce>quick time movie. It bounces, and makes a .mov file. Then i uploaded to We Transfer, he could open my link. He said the audio that i recorded isn't there. I uploaded it to my dropbox also, same problem.

So it seems like it's something in the bounce.

Sorry about not adding what I am using:

I am using Pro Tools 10. Digi002r. Presonus DigiMax LT. MacBook Pro. 10.8.5 Mountain Lion.

It sounds like you might want to get an application like MediaInfo, that can dissect the .mov file, and tell you more about it's contents.

It might help you diagnose how the audio is getting lost.

Do you check to see if the audio is on the quicktime movie before you upload it?
