Hello all,
First off, apologies for the dreaded first post/new topic one-two punch. I used to be an active member of the board, but I think my old account has lapsed into inactive status with my login info long misplaced.
After a few years out of the audio game I've recently picked up some contract work managing a pop-up online radio station. It'll be a three-week project run out of a storefront in LA that involves a mix of live hosted broadcast, pre-produced tape, live performance, in-person interviews, and phone-ins.
My background in radio has always been in production rather than tech, so I thought I'd see if anyone on the board has direct experience with some of the options in terms of broadcast/board op software. I'm looking for something that can get the job done effectively and reliably with a short learning curve. It's going to be a skeleton crew of hosts doing double-duty as board ops/producers, so usability is really key. Something that is open source or low-cost would be great; since this is a temporary thing it doesn't make much sense for us to invest heavily in software.
A quick search of the board didn't turn up much (if any) info on the topic so I figured I'd ask directly...
Thanks in advance!
