Soundcraft Series One PSU

Post by CFB4 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 2:50 pm

Hi all,
recently rebuilt a Soundcraft Series One and I'm currently running it of my bench PSU - sounds quite nice so I'm going to finish by building a new PSU for it. There don't seem to be any off-the shelf options that suit: it's a singe rail 0-40 volt PSU. Is there a design I could adapt? I think I'd prefer a regulated supply. Thanks cfb4

40V is a somewhat irregular value.

A good option would be to find a 48V Power One linear series, and adjust the trimpot downwards to 40V. They turn up on Ebay regularly.

Relevant part numbers are:
HB48-0.5-AG
HC48-1-AG
HD48-3-AG
HE48-4-AG

The number between the hyphens is the amperage rating.
