Ok, all you Boss loopers out there. Here's one for you.
On the Boss RC-3 Loop Station, is it possible to clear the recorded loops with the following conditions:
1. Playback is in a "stopped" state
2. Using only the foot pedal
3. WITHOUT playback beginning when the pedal is pressed and held down
1 & 2 are no problem, it's just that as soon as I hold the pedal down, playback begins for a couple seconds before stopping and deleting. I know I can use the finger operated buttons on the pedal to clear the recording without beginning playback, but I REALLY want to be able to do it with my feet, as I could with the RC-20. To me, it would make sense that the unit would be able to "know" the difference between a single stomp and a held stomp...
Am I out of luck?
I just got it to loop phrases from my Wavedrum when accompanying modern dance classes, and the 2 seconds of playback is a real bummer firing through the PA in between combinations.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
Jeff Z.

These Boss looper pedals are way more functional with the FS 5u or FS-6 outboard footswitches. I have the RC 30 and stepping thru presets is MUCH easier. With the RC30 you clear a memory slot by stepping on the right pedal first, and then stepping on the left pedal whilst the right is still held down........
