Lomo 19a18 Help

Post by IlyaIlitch » Mon Jul 06, 2015 6:26 am

Hello,

Bad story :

My 19a18 was making some weird noises wich seems to sounds like a dying tube.
I ordered new tube on ebay.

I gave the mic to a technician, (I do not feel confident soldering this tiny tube myself)
this great magnificient technician did not tested the mic after his shity work, and he should have
because when I pluged it I got no sound from the mic.
he soldered the tube wrong, with pins soldered in the wrong spots...
(He also changed some capacitor in the PSU)

So I unsoldered it myself and resoldered the tube in the good spots.
But...
Now I get a ultra supra low signal with very tinny treble-y sound.

So... I am not a electronic technician at all, so I need to give this mic to a good one this time
But here are my questions.
-Does anyone have a schematic ?
-Does powering up the mic with the tube soldered wrong could have damage the tube or the mic in any way ?
-as this guy did a shitty job maybe he put bad capacitor in the PSU (?) this low signal with very tinny treble-y sound from mic can come from the PSU or this is not possible?

The mic sounded just fine before this guy touched it... just some noise issue from dying tube.
I want to cry.
Help.

For the most part, if you get it to a good tech, it shouldn't be a problem; less the capsule or transformer died somehow. Where are you located? I'm sure people can recommend a great tech. Don't be scared of mailing it to a good tech if you need to. My recommendation is John McCormack of Rainbow Electronics in Sacramento, CA. I don't know of anyone with a schematic... If you ever find one, please send it to me too!

Hmmm... Don't know any techs in France. Hopefully someone has a recommendation. Yeah, if you get a link to a schematic, that'd be great, thanks!

I've realized I'm looking for a 19a13 schematic myself. Still, I just saw Mocrophone Boutique-AEG Moscow just posted a 19a18 schematic on FB: https://m.facebook.com/284617284938339

Hello!
Yes I ask them for the schematics and they just sent it to me by email
Don't have Facebook but I guess they posted it at the same time ! the AEG team are great, thanks to them.
If some of you don't have Facebook and need the schematic PM and I can send it to you by email.
Best
