Very cool, didn't know about that...though I always thought the Glissentar looked like fun...blungo2 wrote:Godin Inuk, it's a cross between an oud and a guitar. Beautiful instrument, i can't stop playing it.
edit: and a DBX 560a. Very nice on snare.

I didn't either, but i started checking out their ouds and then found out about the inuk. Found one on Reverb in new condition for less than half price and i couldn't resist. It's rapidly becoming my new favorite insrument.kslight wrote:Very cool, didn't know about that...though I always thought the Glissentar looked like fun...blungo2 wrote:Godin Inuk, it's a cross between an oud and a guitar. Yes, that glissentar has caught my eye a number of times, looks very cool.
Picked up a Toadworks Mr. Squishy compressor pedal - very cool on bass.
As well, I bought another M-Audio M-Track Plus 2. I'm using 'em as USB soundcards on my laptops; with the option of recording thru 'em, I figured US$90 was a good price for good sound, comes with Cakewalk and Ableton light progs.

Yeah 1/2 price sounds fair...$850 seems a bit steep for my purposes but I could almost justify $400. I wish someone like Rondo Music would make a cheap one.blungo2 wrote:I didn't either, but i started checking out their ouds and then found out about the inuk. Just got a tympani drum! Or tympano, tympanum or whatever you want to call it.
I don't know what the official size is, but from outer rim to outer rim, it's 30", and from where the inside of the rim meets the head to the same thing on the opposite side, it's 29 1/2". It's freaking enormous!
It's a Slingerland, and a middle school was giving it away. The pedal didn't move at first, but after a couple hours of taking things apart and putting them back together I figured it out and got it working. Now I just have to clear some space for it!
