Vocals hardpanned right?

Is this some kinda surround mix that's been collapsed wrong? I think it's been channel mapped L=L,SL,SR, R=R,C,LFE?

All I know is, that's 7 minutes of my life I'm never going to get back.

Well, you clicks the square and you takes your chances. Very Happy

What exactly about it didn't you dig? There've been some butchered version of that song in the world, but I thought the Wilson sisters et al did a pretty good job of it. The guys in the balcony seemed to dig it. Just curious where your coming from he who snarls.

That's actually the best version of that song that I've ever heard. And, I'm talking about the main vocal performance, not the orchestral theatrics, it put it in a whole new light for me. I still hate that fucking song though. So, on the one hand I'm glad I sat through it, but the other hand doesn't respect that hand any more.

Ah, okay…that makes some sense.

It is absolutely the best cover of that song I've ever heard, and I find it gut-wrenching. But I'm a sucker for the dramatic effect. Smile

Incidentally, that version and the Dread Zeppelin version are the ONLY two covers of "Stairway" that I've ever considered worthy.

They're the only two versions that reduce me to tears, though for entirely different reasons.

I love the performance.

I now have heard this song too many times.

EDIT: Dropped the lawsuit link. It brings no joy to anyone.

Coming back to that Heart/Stairway video above after some time and I don’t see how anyone under the influence of that band and that song at some point in their life can not be moved, this is serious drama unfolding. The choir coming in, that amazing Slick solo, the wilson sisters tore it up with a fantastic arrangement. and front and center (along with Ann and Nancy) is Bonham’s son, so obviously in the moment and cherishing every second of this tribute to his father. You can see Robert in the balcony mouth the word “sublime” at one point. And the cuts to the audience reactions.Truly moving all around.
