Recomend Me a Good Trem Pedal
Re: Recomend Me a Good Trem Pedal
Aiight, I just scored a Line 6 M5 for cheap - it has awesome trems.
3 trems are labeled, and other FX can be made to function as same.
Oh, and happy top o' the page.

My Ibanez TL5 came in the other day, & it's a solid performer. Nothing fancy, but it does the job very well.

Re: Recomend Me a Good Trem Pedal
i've owned several (voodoo labs, diamond and something else i'm forgetting) but the Flint smokes em all IMO - looooove the harmonic trem especially - and I bought for a similar reason - using a blues jr live and the reverb sucks on it - and has no trem. it's a really classy and simple pedal compared to most of their stuff (not a huge fan of the big box strymon stuff but this and the deco are pretty great!)

I'd like one of these.

May I ask, "why"?
I have found that stereo effects are good for recording (I love ping-pong delay, me), but a live stereo thing is a greater PITA than worth the effort.
Altho', it could be cool to cover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mY8eKQFyRJk.

Re: Recomend Me a Good Trem Pedal
mine broke pretty early on (even though it only sat in my studio) - and maybe that was a good thing - I replaced with one of these and it's improved -

Re: Recomend Me a Good Trem Pedal
It was this from 2017 to just a couple months ago. I had to sell the head to pay some bills sadly. It was a really cool head, and I had Ben install a pair of DI's in the back of it. Super loud, super light. I built the cabs with help from a friend. A 15" and 6" in each cab. Based on the FearFul Green Boy plans/design. For bass duties, I'd run it as pictured or with a 4X10 or 8X10. For synth/Keys (what I play mostly, I could place a cab on either side of the drums. For guitar, I have two 2X12's I'd run with it. Right now I'm just using an ADA B200s stereo power amp along with a Radial Key Largo for keyboard setup.

Somebuddy should do a post on "the things I hadda sell" - mine include a Marshall and a Boogie. And a MIJ 335 copy that I sold to some young neighbor to make my then-wifey happy. Firstworld probs.
Yer stack looks coool. I always wanted to be the guy on the stage with the most unusual and noteworthy ampage.

But, an old band of mine did cover this for our last record. It's pretty bad! But I can't listen to that whole record, still, after nearly 18 years.

Re: Recomend Me a Good Trem Pedal
One of the cool things about building the cabs myself, I'll never get the resale cash I'd want from them, so it's less tempting to sell them now that I'm not playing live shows much anymore. The pandemic pretty much got me to the point of not really interested in picking that part of the game back up. They're great for keys and synths though, and go really low for all the sub stuff i like to do. I really wish i built a tweeter into them at the time, and I can easily add one to them and build a different crossover if I ever need it to happen. I snapped my arm in half while on tour in 2016. It took many years to get the strength back in my left arm, and still now, it's not 100%, which is why led me to building those cabs in 2017, at only 50 lbs each, much more manageable than lugging around an 8X10, hell even my 4X10 weighs 90 something pounds.vvv wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 7:35 pmSomebuddy should do a post on "the things I hadda sell" - mine include a Marshall and a Boogie. Ha! Musta been some show!
The Neo speakers are a help, I have a GK 2/12" Neo that is bulky but relatively light.
Re tremolo, I have anuvver thread on here, "Write This Song", and I use that M5 for all effects on the guitars (a Sterling Mariposa short scale I recently rec'd), including the main rhythm with tremolo.
FWIW, I played into the M5, took the right side DI'd and mic'd the amp (Fender Bassbreaker 007) for the left side = stereo rhythm guitars (the other one has a delay). FWIW, the lead is a mono that I copied, delayed back the copy .02MS and processed with a stereo delay/verb ITB, and added to the mono track that had the M5's spring reverb onnit.

I'm just glad I was on tour in Europe. Much cheaper to snap your arm in half in Paris than it was in Tacoma, WA.vvv wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 3:55 pmHa! Musta been some show!

Yeah, 15" neos in those cabs. So much more manageable.
That guitar trem is awesome.

Dwarfcraft Twin Stags.
Does every trem sound you could ever want, but goes way beyond that creatively. One of the coolest pedals ever, IMO. Can literally be an instrument itself.

My favorite Tremolo is my moogerfooger ring modulator. Even though I know it's not technically a tremolo, I have no legit tremolos to compare it to and I know it doesn't meet the OP's requirements.
