http://tera-byte.com/ for hosting, or their subsidiary (?) http://www.redirection.net/ for forwarding and domain registration. Domain reg is $13.50/year. The company is easy to deal with, helpful, and very quick to reply to any emailed questions.

Yet another endorsement for GoDaddy...a good service, and about as cheap as it gets. I've also used Dotster, which worked out fine, but I left because GoDaddy was cheaper.

As for hosting, I use Wisd0m.net, a small but suitable host with very affordable prices ($4.50 a month for 100 MB space/1.5 G transfer!). I've also used ADDR.com, but I wouldn't recommend it - I've had some problems with communication and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

yes, NEVER use direct solutions. not only are they a rip off, but they have awful customer service and screw people over all the time. screw those jerks!

i also second ipowerweb, i'm on them and they have been working good and very fast.
