Software for old Mac

Post by Drumbeast » Sun Jun 15, 2003 4:45 pm

I need software for my Mac. Its a Power PC 6400. Does anyone know of software that will run on it? I'm only looking to use it as a 2 track mixdown

More important is the AD convertor.

Make sure you can locate a good nubus or whatever that mac has audio convertor. That will make the difference.

As for getting a two track mix in, shareware will do the trick. I don't know if the old version of stuff like D Sound Pro and such are still around in the internet. Check out the shareware audio sites and see what you can dig up.

Also remember networking helps too. It can help move files about and into or out of you main box if you have one.

if your on OS9, just grab pro-tools free from digidesign to mix-down to. then you'll have a common file type to bring to a master house should you wanna go that rout.

you could probably get one of those audiomedia III nubus cards for VERY cheap right now. should work well with protools free.
