backup hard drive recommendation?

Post by rusty_shackleford » Fri Jun 13, 2003 6:35 pm

Hello and thanks for answering my ADAT/PT question so nicely.
I am using Digi 002 and iMac, saving everything to an 80GB Glyph Companion. As I've got something like 40 sessions saved on it now, mostly clients' stuff, I am starting to think I really should back everything up. The Glyph Companion seems rather expensive. Can anyone suggest an appropriate drive for backups, on the inexpensive side?
Thanks

for an outboard drive? Any decent firewire drive will do. I'm eyeing the one at Other World Computing. Silent, and not much more expensive than pairing a HD and a firewire case myself (thanks to a tip in another thread).

Best,

i've been buying drives from www.transintl.com for the past 2 years. so far i've had nothing but good luck with them (and i've bought like 10-12 of them).
