DIY Reamp
I made this one designed by NewYorkDave

but used an Edcor transformer. It works quite nicely. I haven't A/B'd it with a store-bought impedance matching device, so I can't tell you how it measures up, but it sure beats putting line level into an amp, that's for sure.
Here is a link to the Edcor trafo I used-

I vote for NY Dave's design as well. I built mine with the Edcors and can't tell the difference between this and commercially available units (although my wallet can)... I don't claim to have golden ears though.
Props to NY Dave for helping us out with this design. I'm working up an order for his passive eq next.
There are a handful of threads at the prodigy-pro forums if you get stuck.

I'm suprised by Dave's schematic calling for a 10k to 150 ohm Xformer. There's a schematic on the Jensen site for one that uses a 10K to 10k transformer in an almost identical circuit. But I guess it doesn't really matter 'cause you can dial in whatever impedance you want with that ouput Z pot. I'm glad I saw this post because otherwise I would have ordered an expensive Jensen, but it turns out I already have some suitable transformers lying around... looks like I've got some soldering to do!
Here's the Jensen schematic, btw:

Well I just built one of these. Sort of a cross between NYDave's and the Jensen schematic. I left out (forgot, actually) the 200 ohm resistor on NYDave's design, used a 10K pot for volume and 75K for output Z. I used 2 Stanley mic input transformers that were spec'd at 200 ohms to 6K. I threw in a dpdt to switch between a single transformer and both wired in series for 12K to 400 ohms. The 2 in series sound bigger, like the frequency response is wider than with just the single xformer. Thanks, guys!
