Want to record drums in Portland studio, recomendations...

Post by little doodler » Tue Feb 24, 2004 12:30 pm

Hi,

I want to spend a day or two in a portland studio just recording drums (i'm a drummer). anyone know of a really good studio that is geared towards drums (by this i mean they have their own drums, and a couple of rooms to get different drum sounds e.g. a small dead room, and a larger more boomy room. Also, i am willing to spend about $700 on the project, and am using pro tools LE at home.

thanks,
Chris Pederson

Would you consider location recording?

Samples are available on my website

Hi Chris

We only have one tracking room, but we do have have drums and know the room well.

Check out our website, we have also added Pro-Tools LE but haven't updated the site yet.

hey Neal,

sounds like you have a really good place there. what are your drums you are using? Also, i noticed you have a tape machine. iam interested in that old rough drum sound ala compression and tape, i have a set of distressors, and an aurora gtqq2 preamp. i would bring em in to do the recording.
