Why don't we all try to make a comprehensive list of studios that are looking for interns. It seems like most of the posts are out of date. I am looking for an internship, like I know a lot of other people out there are, so lets get it together, guys. Link your internships to this post. Lets see if this works.

This seems like a good idea on the surface, but in reality, most studios do not have much incentive to actively seek interns--even if they need them. It's simply too time consuming (time is money...), and takes up too many resources to look for new hires--especially when a studio probably receives at least 5 resumes a week AND the last intern probably recommended the new position to a buddy. Why then would a studio need to look for anyone?
Most wide-eyed studio hopefuls seems to forget the fact that a studio is a business, and that people need the income they make from the studio to survive. They can't afford to prance around the internet posting jobs all day.
Be proactive and search the studios out yourself. Give The Mastering Lab a call this Thursday and call Sear Sound next Tuesday. Why not? |
