Friday the 13th stories

Post by bedbug » Fri Jun 13, 2003 7:41 am

I woke up this morning and discovered that one of the kitties had put some nasty scratches in (what has to be?) a very expensive wooden pocket door in the apartment.

Then I (try to) leave for work and my car wouldn't start.

All before 9 a.m.

The lady and I just got married.

We're having our reception tonight. Superstition be damned.

Nothing bad yet today, but just wait. In October this year, Friday the 13th falls on a Monday. That's never any good, as any Walt Kelly fan knows...
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??

I have not found a million dollars in a brief case on the street today.

Of all the lousy luck!

I woke up to an alarm sound. Thought it was my brother's radio... so I waited like 30 mins 'cos I was groggy. Turns out it was my radio. I never use the alarm functions. It was a bit creepy.

Then it rains all day.

I stayed in bed. You don't fool with a thing like that.

Props to Djimbe for the Pogo reference. (What's a Djimbe?)

Yea man, it rained so heavy last night. But for the most part was a real good day. I don't get this-- supposedly a dramatically noticable amount of people purposely choose not to fly on fri the 13th. they say if you would like to save even more money flying, and if possible, try to pick a fri the 13th, because rates will be possibly a lot less since ticket demand is quite low and not many people are flying. i've checked prices before and it does seem cheaper, because not enough people are flying.... i think that superstition is so stupid.... wasn't it invented by the MOVIE? or did it already exist beforehand? i can't believe people would plan their life around such a thing.

by the way, happy marriage and wedding and good wishes to you apropos! may you have a long fun life together!
