OK

First guy who worked for me for 2 years, left to complete his degree in sound engineering and is now a freelancer he engineered on a Mercury prize nominated album last year.

Current guy (also been with me 2 years) is now the house engineer + just produced a number 30 in the UK singles chart for a new band - not bad aged 23...

We need a new kid to take out the trash clean the joint

and to become an engineer producer...

Read the first post and apply if you think you fit the bill

Thank you.

And we will accept you if you like that "new 80" Interpol / The Stills / Franz Ferdinand shit too!

(just lie to me and say you like distorted guitars)

To clarify, we like the "New 80's" movement.

Interpol / Radio 4 etc

+ Secret Machines etc etc - its all good

Man can't live on a diet of Emo alone...

Real drum kits rule around here...

BTW Morresy at the Reading festival was great!

I think this is a good opportunity too. yeah its not the biggest studio, but the people seem honest about what they do.

I think the biggest problem and one that I am facing now is that moving to London to work as a runner, requires serious amounts of cash to get setup and to subsidise the salary so you can live down there. I'd be very interested to know how much pay this offers, as I know Air Studios and Abbey only pay runner ?12000 a year. Not quite enough to even live off in London.

So really unless I had family or friends I could live with in London or a year or so I'm stuck up north.

If this was Air or Abbey is would obviously be worth the investment or taking own loans to do, but not at this level, sorry.

unless I can sleep on your floor? :)

Why not apply and THEN ask the questions. You don't want to start off on the wrong foot.

Ability to follow instructions is highly prized in an intern.

But then I am guilty of being a studio owner employer nightmare in my quest for finding the 'needle in the haystack' intern.

Top tip is - that I found 5 years worth of interns from this site.

Those seeking a job would do well to look there.

Good luck!
