i think i've made the decision to put Cakewalk Sonar to rest and move on to greener pastures. luckily for me, i have an m-audio omni studio, meaning i have logic delta to mess around with. i'm pretty happy with it so far, but i'm wondering if something can be gained by purchasing an upgrade to the retail version 5.0. can anyone tell me exactly what i'm missing by using logic delta? unfortunately, any websites dealing directly with emagic seem to be shut down at the moment (which does look a bit suspicious) so i have nowhere to turn for a comparison chart. thanks in advance.
Additionally, does anyone have any strategies with getting it to work with Reason's sequencer?

i don't remember the reasons but the full logic is much better than the delta version..lots of functionallity is left out in the delta version..

Emagic Logic websites? try these:
http://www.logicuser.net/phpapps/phpBB2/index.php
http://community.sonikmatter.com/cgi-bi ... matebb.cgi?
The second one is the one Emagic's own support site links to.
I'm using logic audio 5.5 myself at the moment, although I'm not familiar with Delta for a comparison. Someone on one of those boards might know, though.

Re: Logic Delta vs. Logic Audio 5.0 (Retail)
I've never used logic 5, but logic delta is limited to 16 audio tracks and it seems like the mixing capabilities are limited as well. Or else I just hate logic for mixing.

whats up with Bias Deck, and how come no one uses it? or so it seems?
Re: Logic Delta vs. Logic Audio 5.0 (Retail)
You can't apply plugins on individual tracks in logic delta. Only possible on two Aux-channels. It's limited to 16 tracks aswell.

i think if you buy certain pieces of m-audio hardware you can get the discount price for platinum as well.
and even though the platinum discount price is a VERY steep $500, it may be worth it to you.
another cheap way to get into the logic family is to buy a $200 big box, and upgrade to logic audio 6.
