do you have some serious time to waste?

Post by eeldip » Tue Jun 17, 2003 2:11 pm

watch the video for the "books and authors luncheon" panel.

watch al franken and bill o'reilly go to town on eachother.

the whole thing is pretty good. about halfway through al's speech he starts tearing into bill o'reilly, bill fights back during the q and a and so on...

pretty good stuff.

My wife an I watched that with giddy excitement it was pretty amazing. O'reily has a way of talking that is one of the most frustrating things...ever. Drives me out of my fucking mind man. He really believes that he's the correct. Although he says that he just gives the facts..Come on it's all about what facts and how you give them..the Inside Edition stuff was great.

Does O'riley's Q&A have a chance against Franken's facial expressions?

too bad al franken isnt very good in angry mode.

you could tell he was very very frustrated with bill o'reilly, and the way he combined boilerplate arguments with really quick and angry retorts to anyone who opposed the arguments, or tried to engage him in a debate.

he is also frustrating to watch cause he doesnt make sense. he believes in lowering taxes and cutting services. he believes that the way to help kids is to not throw money at them, but to give them a better education by increasing the pay for teachers and increasing the funding for schools.

huh? so we lower taxes, cut money from our education budget, then increase spending on education? all he was doing was saying a bunch of things that appeal to people even if they mutually oppose each other.
