cubase or sonar question

Post by assfortress » Wed Jun 18, 2003 2:22 pm

I have an event ez8 soundcard(adat in and out). How can i set it up so this is just used for inputs and my internal soundcard is used for out puts? I can use either sonar or cubase so any help would be great.

is it just for ADAT? no analog i/o?
or do you wanna transfer ADAT? :?:

I'm not a fan of Cakewalk stuff, although the PS5 is already getting good reviews. Steinberg is much more useable to me.

the adat card has no analog ins or outs. im using an adat for a/d converter. so i can track 8 channels at the same time no problem. but when i want to overdub i have no way of getting a stereo mix to listen to. i want to know how i can use the internal sound card as an output for the stereo mix.

Sonar should let you pick what outs you want for each track. Just make sure you can see it in the hardware setup.
