Have you Americans ever heard of the Tea Party? They're Canadian, and they kinda suck. They're tricky cuz they're intros are always killer ie, "Temptation" has a really cool layered drum thing happening.

Van Halen's Explosion/you really got me? Come on people! haha
Or basically most 80's metal... all the best cell phone rings come out of those babies. Thunderstruck, Sweet Child of Mine...

Marqueemoon,
What about "Marquee Moon"? That's a great intro. I can't stop my feets from movin'!

I had a freind who was a DJ in BC for the longest time, and would always speak the gods of 'em. They have absolutly NO presence here! Dunno why not, you guys gave us William Shatner, why not the Tea Party! (while you hold on to all the good stuff! Jerks! LOL)

The intro to Airbag always gives me goosepimples. I love that guitar sound!

Ensimi's "Brighter" is one of my fav intro's too. Simple.

hell's bells - bill bruford's one of a kind
soon - MBV's loveless
99th dream - swervedriver
take it off the top - dixie dregs
longest intro - perfect circle, pat metheny (but a good one)

Pixies; Surfer Rosa

I like the part Where Is My Mind where Kim is whistling at the beginning and then Frank says "stop!" That always makes me laugh.

Butthole Surfers early stuff was like ALL intro. One long album of intro. See "Locust Abortion Technician". Doesn't really go anywhere in particular, but keeps your attention the whole way.

Jamie's Crying - Van Halen (Great drum intro)
