They say they're quiet. I wonder if that's compared to the loud ass G4's or actually quiet quiet.

My room buzzes as loud as my refridgerator upstairs. Not that I have a G4 or anything.

Jesus... I like my PC, but not enough to call people names... I got over that in Jr. High. Macs are great, PC's are great, let's all rejoice!

You're kidding!!! Apple padded the numbers??? Why, I NEVER!!!! What is this world coming to when a company uses deceptive info to sell their product?!?
I like how the link used the nubers supplied by Dell with little reservation.
It is really difficult to peg down just how fast any given computer is. Every company uses the benchmarks that make their product seem faster than other computers. Big deal. The test of whether any personal computer is fast enough for you is personal use, not numbers, be they specs or benchmarks.
Every mac fan I know would love to have the G5. Not to say that all PCs are crap (far from it), but I've never done work (or play) on a Dell and didn't come away thinking that Dell builds crappy computers. Bad inards. It's crazy to compare a Mac to a Dell, there are just so many better manufacturers of PCs out there.
I totally agree with cassembler, there's a place for everything - PCs and Macs. I use 'em both, and since XP, I can actually enjoy using a PC. Here's to all of us!! Hurrah!!!
