Earthbound (Nintendo)

Post by DUC » Wed Jun 25, 2003 5:32 pm

I was intrigued by this game and was searching the net about it when I found interpretations of the music. Wow, how beautiful. But they only had 2 tracks: eb paula and sanctuary2. Later on I found a bunch more. Anyway... for those who played the game, I envy you.

Google earthbound mother mp3. I think that's one way I did it.

I'm sorry to say that all the other songs sounded like crap. The first 2 that I mentioned are the only ones I liked. Oh well.

earthbound rocks. have you ever played the regular nintendo version, which was never released in america? they were working on an english version, but just about the time they were finishing it, snes had come out and the project came to a close. they also found RPGs like it weren't doing as well in america. in japan, it's called "mother" (nes) and "mother 2" (snes). here it was going to be called earthbound and earthbound 2, but earthbound just became what mother 2 was in japan.

some guy bought the original cart for the somewhat incomplete earthbound for nes (english version) at some crazy ebay auction and put it online as a rom available to all. this version became known as "earthbound zero" since the SNES one would be earthbound 1.

guy trying to recreate it: http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/eb0/info.html

i even found two japanese books at half price books for $2 each that were called "mother" and "mother 2" which are like both 200 pages each, and published by nintendo, so apparently they are stories written alongside the game. pretty interesting.

and i just realized what a dork i am.

I don't know who's the bigger dork.

I just got back from watching Pretty In Pink at the River Oaks Theatre.
