Where do want an internship, anywhere in CA, or in another part of the US? What is your background, self taught, schooling?

Yeah, I'd like to see what is available in California. I know L.A. is the place to go but I'd also like to see what opportunities there are outside of L.A. I have a degree from Chico State in Recording Arts. I've been involved eith two small studios in Chico, now I'm looking to get experience in a bigger studio is involved in more recording projects.

Prairie Sun Recording just North of SF has an internship program, as does another SF studio that has posted in this forum. I'd do a search.

Did you happen to look at page 2 of this forum? There's a post for interns at SF SOUNDWORKS.

Also, Mix magazine puts out an issue every so often that lists, state by state, schools and recording studios. Don't remember when the last issue was.

There's a bunch of studios in and around San Francisco.
Some of the better known ones are:
The Plant (in Sausalito)
Tiny Telephone
SF Soundworks
Studio D (Sausalito)
Hyde Street Studios
Different Fur

Good luck!

Yeah, one of my classmates is now interning at Prairie Sun Studios. It's pretty tough from what I hear because you're supposed to be available to do work 24 hours a day for three months. I'd have to find a friend or relative to live with down there I guess. Thanks for the suggestions.
