That's cute.

Games would last about thirty four seconds at any of the venues here in Chapel Hill.

That's hi-larious. I laughed hard when I saw "grandpa". I know that guy. Hell, I know all those guys (and girls.)

My friend's (clueless) ex-girlfriend once said, "People hate indie-rockers? Why do people hate indie-rockers?" I mean, she was astonished - frickin' perplexed! I half-wish she hadn't moved to Portland with her new hipper hipster boyfriend so I could show her this, and say, "See? This is why."

Okay, I only quarter-wish that.

She still wouldn't get it.

If only the music weren't so damned good! I mean that. I'd never give up indie, no matter how many people I can't stand in the audience.

Sorry if I'm being embarrassingly earnest. I'll stop......now!

So do I, unfortunately. Or at least see them out at shows.

What if you wear Chucks and drink PBR because of economic reasons? Does that make you a hipster (or hipster wannabe)? I mean, I've been down with all stars since the 4th fucking grade, I'm sure I wasn't too indie rock then (unless I was twee).

If you ask me, half the stuff we do is just to get laid. The other half? 'Cos we're dumb.

That's why I'm pullin' chicks with my sports-coat and t-shirt, penny loafers and aviator glasses... NOT!

Music is so complicated. Where has all the good adult-contemporary rock gone to?

I love it when those teens say that they're 80's fanatics, and they're cooler for it. But you're not really a fan unless you fucking grew up in the 80's. I second that they're bastards. GOT THAT OFF ME BACK, didn't I!

Ah, well, I claim to be a Beatles fan, when my mom actually saw the Beatles play in China. We're all posers.

I got the Vans. And I almost had the hot Asian thing goin' on, but I'm not hot. I have a right to wear those Vans. I skated EZ7, Houston's finest drainage ditch.

That's priceless. I like the "ironic trucker hat".

I don't recall seeing too many cabbie hats, though.

I just know I'm gonna fill out about 4 of those BINGO cards at Double Door Friday night. The only square missing is the one for "on cell phone at stage front". That's gotta be the funniest one for me. Standing in front of some giant JBL stage main and yelling into your phone "I'm in front of the stage!" Helloooo? I think the unfortuate person you're trying to talk to has figured that out...
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??
