cant find replacement tube for mic... help please!

Hello,

I need to replace a tube in my Oktava MK-13M. The mic was built int 1973, and is actually supposed to be a transistor-based mic. Mine is apparently some kind of a protoytpe model.

It is a pentode tube.
The tube reads: 6C31B-P 8807

Any resources, ideas, referals, whatever... it's all welcome. Ive searched all over the net and cant find anything.

They have an amazing collection of tubes, and sources for them, and NOS, and new tubes for any application I have ever thrown at them. Some of them cost more money than others, but they have always hooked me up.

Sorry to ask the obvious, but did you try typing "6C31B" in Google? There appears to be a supplier of this tube (gstube.com) right on the first page of hits.

You also might want to try a PM to Michael Jolly. He works with pentodes in his own mic mod's and should have some good advice.
