I like it and think it sounds great!

Yeah, I'm pretty bad about posting after I listen.

I always come back to see if anyone has said anything new on my thread, and respond immediately. Sorry.

I think I sounds great. Reminds me of the beatles a little in a couple parts. I love the chorus! The guitar sounds great on the little solo part.

great song keep it up.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm pretty bad about that too.

DOH!

Thanks for the input, though, man. Those were nice compliments.

Is the song still there? I just tried right-clicking it to save and it said the file wasn't there, or moved, or something.

I have my typewriter hooked up to the TV fine, but do I need to use the 'internet' to hear it?

Good mix except the drums were buried. Acoustics and vocals have a nice sound and the general level of the mix is very upfront without having that pumping overlycompressed sound. Kinda want alot more drums though....

Ah, I got it to work. I like how everything sounds, especially the acoustics and vocals. Nice harmonies too! The crash cymbal kinda has that "this is a drum machine!" sound however. Maybe you could make your own crash sample?

And thanks for the tip- I just downloaded LeafDrums. It looks like a lot of fun, and their samples sound like they came off my TR-505. Ha! Awesome!

That drum machine program is crap! HORRIBLE lay out! Hard to see, and hard to use for what it does.

Really? You think so? I find it very easy to use. Of course I haven't used many drum machines.

Thanks, Jay.

We recorded the the vocals with a SM57. The acoustic was a blend of a 57, which was about 3- to 5-inches off, say, the 20th fret, and a Sennheiser E835, which was sitting on top of a bass amp around 2 feet from the guitar.

If I remember correctly there's a dash of reverb and compression on everything.
