Need help with catagorizing...

Post by In the CHAOS » Tue Aug 05, 2003 4:57 pm

Hello,

I just finished an album, and when people ask, "What kind of music is it"? I look blank and go, "Hmmm....er...uh...I don't know".

I did everything, and I'm too close to the tree to see the forest...

Any comments whatsoever are welcomed!

Here's the track "White Knuckle Rhino" ...

"What kind of music is it?"
"The good kind."

Heheh.

I dunno dude, we got the same problem. I hear a little bit of Radiohead in there, but that doesn't mean much -- just that you bothered to arrange your songs. Definitely some '70's stuff going on in there -- the good kind.

Definitely college-rock-friendly. Might be commercially happy as well, depending on y'r market and budget.

Pigeon-holing obviously sucks, but if I were to do so I'd say Pearl Jam crossed with Radiohead.

You all have been great listening to my song and giving your thoughts. I really appreciate it. The whole "catagory" thing still kinda fuzzy, but I have a better idea.

You all ROCK! Thanks.
