Thanks a lot, do you know if it's okay with XP, as it only says me or 98?

Did you not like Tracktion? It seemed workable. I used to use n-Track as well. It is shareware but only $40.

I've not tried Tracktion, any good? If you've got the download link to hand can you post it so i don't have to look around.

Thanks a lot.

UTFSF!!!!

Kidding. I've always wanted to do that. Here is the Traktion link. I'vc come to like it a lot:

I used to use Cubase, but have been tinkering solely in Traktion lately...

Tracktion

I love Tracktion. I've done Protools and Cool Edit Pro in the past, but I'm loving VST/VSTi. So many cool sounding free instruments and effects out there!

I have it on my old G3 OS 9.1 when I needed to "cut and paste" events or samples and it worked great. Now I'm running my old G3 with PT Free and my G5 with Nuendo. I can't understand why PT is being lazy about getting a PC XP or Mac OSX version. Maybe, like myself and how I was using it, took a bite (in their mind's eye)?

But, in XP and in Mac, can't you download it and specify which operating system you'd like to work in? I run an XP computer as well and you have the option of running a program in Win98 (or what-have-you) if it doesn't support XP. The same with Mac as long as you have a version of OS9 you can run programs under that OS. I'm sure there are stability issues but just to get your feet wet and work thru those "issues" it might have of dealing with such a thing it can still be done.

Has anyone tried running it in XP with program selection on 98 or a Mac that has OS9 under OSX?

Rigs,
seriously, give Tracktion a shot. I haven't looked back. It's free until 1/14. T2 is going to have a 64 bit mixing bus option for summing. It's great now, and will only get better w/T2.
-Bigs

P.s. Rigs, i've been Bigs for a long time now, so Bigsby I shall remain.

I've heard Tracktion is pretty functional for a free program... I'd give it a shot. Considering I dumped money into Nuendo has any Mac user used Garageband (part of the iLife '04 pack) in comparison to Tracktion?
