Amplitube once cool, Amplitube twice, no way!!

Post by Ryan Silva » Wed Jan 19, 2005 4:14 pm

This plug-in is such a tease, somtimes I can insert it and it increases my CPU by about 8-12 % cool. But if i Add a second the whole earth comes crashing down. One use 8-12 % Two uses 40-70%

Does this sound right to you guys?

no. i have a cubase SX session with 4 of them (and a waves truverb) and everything runs fine. when i tried to add a fifth thinks started to get choppy and it eventually crashed.

i'm running a P-IV 2.4Gig w 512mb ram

slightly off the topic--doesn't amplitube sound f'in awesome?!?!? i use it on guitar and on the EVP73 plugin. my ultimate goal is to add a FW soundcard to my laptop and use it in lieu of an amp on stage... i so wish i had a few hundred bux to hook that up!!!

I like Amplitube alright, and I do use it. But I still prefer the sound of a real amp if such is available.

Andy666, have you seen these?
