maudio 410 troubles

Post by rich » Sun Jan 30, 2005 2:25 pm

i just bought the 410 a month ago and have been getting some grief fom it. upon first install it was slow as hell, the software interface was laggy and a pain the figure out the routing for. then i DLed the patch which fixed the lag problem but now anytime the comp is accessing a drive it seems to glitch and distort. so when i watch a movie or play a video game, sometimes there are wierd pops and crap coming from it. what could be causeing this and what could the solutions be? im running an athalon xp 3000+, 1gig of ram, and all my drives are 7200rpm. doesnt seem like it should be bogging the audio down to the point of distortion

How many hard-drives do you have? Are any of them on a promise-style raid controller (even mobo-onboard)? Cuz that'll eat PCI bandwidth in a hurry.
