m audio vs. motu
m audio vs. motu
hi all sorry to throw in one of these but has anyone heard anything about or tried the m audio 1814? Ive read the official reviews but wonder if the good old 828 is a better choice. thanks.
Re: m audio vs. motu
I bought a used 828 instead of a new M-Audio for my Powerbook. I'm very happy.
Re: m audio vs. motu
people have been mentioning pops and digital noise from 828s and 828mk2s. Have you noticed this?
What software are you running and what type of mac?

Re: m audio vs. motu
From what I understand (and that isn't much!), the pops only occur for PC users. I own an 828 using osx, and occasionally os9, and I have very little complaints. It's a great deal for me.

I use a 24 I/O on a PC and i don't have any problems.
