good trip...

Post by MichaelAlan » Sat Feb 05, 2005 12:28 pm

I wanted to write a full account of the short radio promotional tour we were just on, but no one would care. Here is just a list of recollections:

I hate the Southwest.

The PinkEye, (eww) in Tulsa Oklahoma is apparently right on "hooker row". My guitarist almost got beat up by a pimp. The radio personality never showed up either.

You cannot GET tatoos in Oklahoma, but you CAN GET strange looks when you have a sleeve.

People in Arkansas are cool.

Wing, Your state is also cool. And big.

We did our first Radio Interview. It was scary at first, then awesome. The sation had an old console I cannot remember the name of. They let us raid thier CD collection and choose the next hour's line-up.

I still have the band record for "hours straight driving" at 13.

It is HARD to pee in a moving RV. Brace yourself.

We went through Arizona and New Mexico. Flagstaff is awesome.

Oh ya, something I forgot, If you consider yourself a confederate, and have ever worn or brandished in some way anything to the effect of "It ain't over yet!" You ARE stoopid. These are the kind of things that make me wish SoCal really would fall off into the ocean and float away.

So what does that have to do with Southern California?

Just curious.

Hey Mike - What part of AZ did you go through? I grew up in Tucson and have a love/hate relationship with it.

I live there. And I would be there when it broke off and floated away. And we would make it a new country where birds sing and children laugh and play.

i was just kidding. Sometimes I have my own love/hate relationship with SoCal.

About Arizona, We went through Flagstaff on the 40. but I have been to Tuscon for a concert. It's a pretty big town, but nothing is around it.
