That would be a nice addition to the Harman line up, and probably if they pick them up then a Sony or Panasonic.

I knew I should have bought back into Harman last week when it dipped below the $110 a share mark, but even at its present level in the ca. $116 a share range, it's a pretty good buy, especially in anticipation of them potentially buying the largest console manufacturer.

Admittedly, Amek was in a pretty weak spot when they were acquired by Harman. SSL is in a highly marketable position with the success of the aws900 - . But, Harmo does have the dedicated and loving bankers that would back the purchase.

Then, Sony could purchase the lot after H's stock drops in the minutes after the SSL purchase.

Who to buy? WHO TO BUY???

:)

I think we should start a fund and have TapeOp readers buy SSL. Kind of like the cheap ribbon mic post.

I will start us off with $100 US.

OK, so we know that the rap guys insist on SSL and buy them for their home studios because they are the physically largest consoles money can buy.
And we've also seen diversified business from the hip-hop crowd with clothing lines, food products and all sorts of stuff recently.

So what do you think?

Would someone like Missy Elliot pick up SSL?
Perhaps Roca-State Logic?
Maybe change out the logo for something bigger that can be cast in gold and mounted up on the grille of all the new models?

Sammy Hagar is chilling in Mexico with his tequila, Moby is too busy with his Manhattan tea room to do it, and Michael Jackson is kinda tangled up in court at the moment, but I'm sure there's someone out there.

But in the mean time, I'll still be buying Harman stock.
