Drum Sound from Bright Eyes' song Padraic my Prince

From the album Letting off the Happiness. Since I first heard that song, I fell in love with the way the drums sound. I'm not a drummer and rely on synthesis and samples (gathered and self-made), which I use in Reason (anyone using the Reason Drum Kits refill?). I'd like to know of suggestions for setting up a drum set to mimic the tuning in that song and/or a good sample set that sounds similar. My dad has a Noble and Cooley drum set which, once it's set up again, I can start putting any input I get here to use.

Mainly it is the kick sound that I'm after. It's not clicky and has a long decay to it. Is that just due to how the drum is tuned and dampened?
