View Unread Posts

On the top level page, there is a "View Unread Posts (X)" link, where X is some number. I have read all messages, and when I click on this link no messages are shown, but X is currently at 100 and growing. It would be helpful to have this number actually reflect the number of new messages to be read. Hopefully there is some trivial fix!
