Our buddy Lance suggested:

"If we know a place that carries the magazine, is there a sticky place we could post it? Could save you some redundant emails.

So if anyone knows of cool stores that carry Tape Op magazine on a regular basis please post here for other folks to read!

There's a magazine shop in Chicago, on Cicero just north of Irving Park Road. If you get to the Walgreen's you've gone about 50 feet too far.

If I'm over there to get more specifics I will update this post.

Quimby's on North Ave. in Chicago carries the Tape Op book, current issues of the magazine, and back issues.

Check at your closest Tower Records. If they don't carry it, talk to the mag person and they can bring it in for you.

damn, I knew I liked Portland for a reason.

Haven't seen them in the wild in the DC area, but I haven't searched too hard honestly. I do spend a good bit of time looking at magazine racks though (it's part of my day job actually), so I'll keep an eye out.

I don't think Powell's in Portland has them fro free!

For free mags in Portland there's Trade Up Music and Superdigital

If you have a pro audio or music store in your town that woould like to give them away tell them to contact john@tapeop.com about that. We usually ask that they cover shipping. That said, it's way better for us when people subscribe as far as showing real numbers and all....

Easy Street Records in Seattle does (at least the one on Queen Anne does).

Update 3-13-09: They don't carry Tape Op anymore.

Downtown Subscription in Santa Fe, NM sells them - at least I assume they still do, it's been a year or two since I've been there.
